Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a chimney to install a wood burner?

Not at all! If your home doesn’t have a chimney, we can still install a wood burner using a Twin Wall Flue System. This specially insulated flue allows us to safely vent the stove through an external wall or up through the roof, making it possible to enjoy a real wood-burning stove in almost any home.

So whether you live in a modern house, a new build, or a property without an existing chimney—no chimney, no problem! We’ll guide you through the best solution for your space.

Do you offer both supply and installation?

We understand every home is different, so we aim to provide solutions that suit both your space and your budget.
Prices start from £1,300 VAT included, depending on the type of stove, flue system, and any preparation work required. Whether it’s a simple fit or a more complex project, we’ll tailor the quote to your needs—no surprises, just honest pricing.

Do you supply the stove or do I need to buy one myself?

We do supply the stoves directly. We are happy to help you choose the perfect stove for your home, based on your preferences and requirements. We can provide expert advice on the best options available and guide you through the selection process, ensuring that you get the right stove for your space and needs.

Is planning permission required?

No planning permission is needed for the installation of most stoves, as long as the installation complies with building regulations. However, if you live in a listed building additional permissions may be required.

Are your installers HETAS registered?

Yes, all our installers are fully HETAS registered. This means we are certified to carry out safe and compliant stove installations, ensuring that your stove meets all necessary regulations and safety standards.

Can you remove my old fireplace or stove?

Yes, we can remove your old fireplace or stove. Our team can safely disconnect and remove the existing unit as part of the installation process. We’ll handle the removal and disposal, ensuring everything is left tidy and ready for the new stove.

What type of fuel can I use? Logs? Smokeless coal?

You have a variety of fuel options, depending on the stove model and your preferences. Most of our stoves are designed to burn logs, which are the most popular and eco-friendly choice. Some models also support smokeless coal, which is perfect for use in smoke control areas.

Additionally, we offer multifuel stoves, which are fully compliant with regulations and give you the flexibility to burn both logs and smokeless coal safely and efficiently.

What maintenance does a stove require after installation?

Annual Chimney Sweeping – This is essential for maintaining safe operation, preventing blockages, and ensuring your stove works efficiently. Many insurance companies require a yearly sweep to keep your policy valid.
We provide ongoing aftercare and can remind you when it’s time for a sweep or check-up to keep everything in top condition.
